These knives were traditionally used by Buddhist monks to carve wooden sculptures. Their popularity spread to Japan and became a multi-purpose utility knife. Japanese blacksmiths, influenced by Samurai culture, played a critical role in their development and how these blades look today. Hand forged from high grade steel, featuring a small compact size and precise concave beveled blade.

Use it as an everyday pocket knife. It can be used for woodworking, leatherwork, opening packages, gardening, cutting ropes or cloth, or even sharpening a pencil.
